Services That We Offer

We strongly support innovation and we welcome challenging projects. LEAFNET participates in EU research projects both as partner and as subcontractor. Our main interest of course is in eLearning and eHealth thematic areas.

Current Projects

NEGHTRA (www.neghtra.eu): Next Generation Training on Intelligent Greenhouses (NEGHTRA), project N°: 621723-EPP-1-2020-1-EL-EPPKA2-KA (Grant Agreement N°: 621723) aims at the development of an adaptable and flexible lifelong learning system, ensuring high quality and efficient teaching. It aspires the delivery of knowledge to farmers of how innovation, entrepreneurship and technology utilization can benefit their businesses, personal skills and competence development.

STEAME goes Hybrid (www.steame-hybrid.eu): The STEAME GOES HYBRID European project is approved and co-funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ KA2 programme, with an implementation period of two years. The STEAME GOES HYBRID project is a continuation of the STEAME project, which started on November 1st, 2019, with the Cyprus Mathematical Society as a coordinator, and will be completed within 2021. The aim of both projects is to design and develop STEAME Schools. STEAME means Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics and Entrepreneurship. STEAME are the expected schools of the future and aim to transform the knowledge into skills and competencies through new structure, infrastructure and activities that correspond to the modern requirements of education and the labor market.

Care@Home:  The current project will support the services provided by the unit of Home Care Services of the Department of Nursing Services, Ministry of Health. The general project’s objective is to facilitate easier, faster, smoother and more qualitative provision of home care services to those in need by the Ministry of Health. In addition, as with every vision and strategy, success is dependent on achieving key sub-objectives and satisfying key success criteria. The diagram below provides a visual analysis of the key sub-objectives and at the same time pillars of success for the implementation of the Solution. The model comprises the three pillars of Speed and Efficiency, Data Centricity and Agility. All three are essential for the Solution both from a technological as well as from a business process point of view.

Past Projects

Hocare (https://projects2014-2020.interregeurope.eu/hocare/): Objective of HoCare project is to boost delivery of home care innovative solutions in regional innovation chains by strenghtening of cooperation of actors in regional innovation system using Quadruple-helix approach. Quadruple-helix is an innovation cooperation model or innovation environment in which users, businesses, research actors/universities and public authorities cooperate in order to produce innovations – government, industry, academia and civil participants work together to co-create the future and drive structural changes far beyond the scope of what any one organization or person could do alone.

C19_space (https://c19-space.academy.esicm.org/): A DG SANTE (SANTE 2020/B/041) Call for Tenders project aiming at Provide Intensive Care Medicine (ICM) fundamentals required in case of deployment of health care professionals that do not work regularly in the intensive care units (ICU) at time of new surges of COVID-19, when there is a need for a rapid, temporary significant scale-up of ICU capacity associated with a COVID-19 crisis. Deliver a homogenous training that can be tailored and adapted to local realities. To cover, as a minimum, 1000 hospitals and 10000 doctors and nurses, distributed fairly all over the EU.

Creactive (http://creactive.marionegri.it/): An FP7 Project that aims to consolidate the existing network of PROSAFE project in order to better describe the epidemiology of moderate-severe TBI in 7 countries; build a prognostic model based on short- and long-term outcome measures; identify the most effective clinical interventions for optimally treating TBI patients, and recognize the determinants of optimal vs suboptimal performance. LEAFNET completed the data extraction, transformation and load (ETL) from NGH-ICU CIS system to a big data compatible table format for vital signs further analysis. Furthermore, LEAFNET presented latest IT solutions for designing and implementing a Doctor friendly system to load data automated from ICU CIS systems and process them with modern AI and ML tools
